We know who Allah is
We know who Allah is

This platform teaches Islam in the easiest, clearest, and most heartfelt way. It is a beautiful path to learning Salah, Wudu, manners, and knowing Allah.

I'm sorry, but I can't help with that.

We know who Allah is—

Knowing Allah is very easy, because Allah Himself has introduced who He is in the Holy Qur’an.

Surah Al-Ikhlas is the 112th chapter of the Holy Qur’an. It is a very short surah, and almost everyone has memorized it. You too, right? We have recited this surah hundreds of times. Yet do you know? This is the introduction of Allah Himself.

Listen to a hadith. It is narrated from Hazrat Ubayy ibn Ka‘b (RA) that the polytheists said to the Noble Prophet (PBUH):

“O Muhammad, describe to us the attributes of your Lord.”

Then Allah (SWT) revealed Surah Al-Ikhlas.

Meaning: He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Self-Sufficient. He neither begets nor is born. And there is none comparable to Him.

Allah, who was not created and who has no offspring. For whoever is created will one day die, and others will inherit after him. But Allah (SWT) does not die, nor does He have any successor or heir. He is not anyone’s child, and there is none comparable to Him. Allahu Akbar.

Ayat al-Kursi (Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 255)

This verse is the greatest and most virtuous verse of the Qur’an. In this verse, the oneness (Tawheed) of the Great Lord, Allah (SWT), and His infinite attributes are uniquely described. Verse 255 of Surah Al-Baqarah is known as Ayat al-Kursi.

Ayat al-Kursi
Transliteration (Bangla pronunciation):
Allahu la ilaha illa huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum.
La ta’khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm.
Lahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-ard.
Man dhal-ladhi yashfa'u 'indahu illa bi-idhnih.
Meaning of this verse:
Allah—there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all existence. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them. And they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth. And preserving them does not tire Him. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

It states here that Allah, in His essence, is the One and Only—Ever-Living, Living, All-Hearing and All-Seeing, possessing speech, and fully and perfectly knowledgeable.
He is the essential Sustainer of creation, the One and only Creator and Controller of all worlds, and His existence is infinite and everlasting.

Allah is the sole Master of the entire universe. There is none greater than Him or equal to Him. Without His permission, no one can speak or intercede before Him.

SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllahil Azeem

Without knowing your Lord properly and without having correct knowledge, there is no real joy in worship.

By now, we have understood who Allah is.

Now we will learn where He is.
