Assalamu Alaikum dear sisters.
✅ “Let’s Revive a Sunnah”
🌺 Is this week’s grocery shopping done? Have you recited the dua for entering the market?
So let it be a beautiful Sunnah reminder related to shopping/going to the market, InshaAllah.
🌺 By reciting it once, you receive thousands of rewards and thousands of sins are forgiven. SubhanAllah!
Although the market has been described as one of the most undesirable places for women, in today’s busy modern era, it is rare to find someone who does not go shopping or to the market.
Before entering the market, you can simply look at the screenshot on your phone and recite the dua. There is no need to memorize it.
And teach it to whoever is with you as well.
And if you are not going yourself, share the dua with whoever is going from home—your brother, sister, or husband. Remind them before they leave so that they can also attain this great reward.
Prayer for entering the market
There is no god but Allah, He is alone, He has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him is all praise. He gives life and He gives death, and He is the Ever-Living who does not die. In His hand is all goodness, and He is over all things omnipotent.
There is no deity but Allah, He is alone, He has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is the Living One who will never die. In His hand is all good, and He is over all things capable.
There is no true god but Allah; He has no partner. Sovereignty belongs to Him, and all praise is due to Him. He gives life and He takes it. He is the Ever-Living; He will never die. All good is in His hands. He is over all things powerful.
Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra) said, the Messenger of Allah (s) said,
“Whoever enters a marketplace (whether a city, a port, or a workplace) and recites these dhikr, Allah will write for him one million rewards, erase one million minor sins, raise his rank by one million degrees, and build a house for him in Paradise.”
Generally, in no authentic hadith is one mentioned for a dhikr or act of worship that promises such a vast reward. Here, if the reader pauses to reflect, they will understand the reason for this immeasurable reward. Wherever there is a greater likelihood of forgetting Allah's remembrance, the reward for His dhikr is also greater. In marketplaces, fairs, cities, workplaces, and the like, people's bodies and minds are naturally extremely busy with various tasks. At such times, whoever can keep themselves engaged in Allah's dhikr is undoubtedly deserving of such a reward.
Tirmidhi, no. 3428; Ibn Majah, 5/291, no. 3860; Hakim, 1/538. And Shaykh al-Albani declared the hadith sahih in Sahih Ibn Majah, 2/21; Sahih al-Tirmidhi, 3/152, and hasan in Sahih al-Tirmidhi, 3/152.
Any thoughts are appreciated❤️
