What to Do Before Ramadan Arrives?
Before the month of Ramadan begins, prepare yourself mentally, spiritually, and practically.
Even before the arrival of Ramadan, the beloved Prophet ﷺ used to remind his companions (Sahaba) of the importance of Ramadan and encourage them to remain prepared. The companions used to welcome Ramadan through abundant repentance (tawbah), worship, and by deepening their relationship with the Quran. They used to prepare their souls for Ramadan right from the month of Shaban and increase their good deeds.
In this way, preparing the mind, heart, and life for worship before Ramadan was an important habit of the companions, so that the month of Ramadan could be fully utilized for the pleasure of Allah.
