Dear beloved children,
Have you ever pondered whether your five daily Fard (obligatory) prayers are being accepted in the court of Allah? You put so much effort into your Salah... finding the time, performing Wudu (ablution), and now you have even come as far as the prayer mat... but are you truly focusing during your Salah? Or are you merely thinking about your work, family, meetings, or other matters? Are you unable to direct your attention toward Allah?
Consider how much attention we pay during a meeting or while working with a person. For example, if your boss is saying something and you are looking away or thinking about something else, do you know how your boss would feel? In the exact same way, Salah is an audience with Allah. Standing before Him while your mind is elsewhere renders the prayer deficient in spirit.
I know you are very social; whether it is your friends or relatives, you always interact with them attentively, give them your time, and listen to their words so carefully, don't you? In that very manner, during the time of Salah, give all your attention and focus to Allah, who is our Creator and Sustainer (Rizq-giver), and who grants all the success in your life.
Remember, it only takes a few minutes of your time to remember Allah in Salah; the average duration of each prayer is about 5 to 6 minutes. This is not difficult for you at all—just keep your focus on Allah for these few minutes. After the prayer, the entire day is free for your own work. Therefore, during the time of Salah, think only of Allah and be grateful to Him. You will see that your Salah will become complete, your heart will find tranquility, and your entire day will be blessed (Barakah-filled).
Keep in mind that just as you eat, sleep, and breathe every single day, in the same way, not a single prayer (Salah) can be missed. If you breathe every day, then you must perform your Salah as well.
