Dear children, you know that Friday is a very special day for every Muslim. Because our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“There is no day more noble than Friday. On this day there is a moment when a servant prays to Allah, and Allah accepts it.” (Tirmidhi)

“There are twelve hours in the day of Jumu'ah. In one of them there is a special moment when Allah accepts the prayer of the believer. This moment should be sought in the last hour after Asr.” (Abu Dawud, an-Nasa'i)

“Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf (the 18th chapter of the Qur'an) on the Day of Jumu'ah, Allah will grant him a light from that Jumu'ah until the next Jumu'ah.” (Bayhaqi)

“Of all the days on which the sun rises, the best is Friday. It was on this day that Adam (peace be upon him) was created. It was on this day that he was admitted into Paradise, on this day that he was expelled from Paradise, and on this day that he died. And the events of the Day of Resurrection will also take place on Friday.” (Muslim)

On Fridays, we can very easily earn some extra rewards. Allah has provided us with extraordinary opportunities—just as we can earn additional income with minimal effort in our spare time, so too can we attain immense good deeds with just a little effort.

What will be done on Friday
Friday is a day of great virtue for every Muslim. It is regarded as the weekly day of Eid. On this day, it is best to eat good food, wear clean and tidy clothes, and spend time with family. Remember, in the Islamic calendar the day begins at sunset, so the blessings of Friday start on Thursday evening.
1. Start reciting the darood from Thursday evening.
We should recite the prayer supplication (Duruḍ-e Ibrāhīm) that we use in prayer more frequently. In addition, from the shorter supplications, whichever you prefer, recite it as many times as you can:
  • 1. May Allah be pleased with him and grant him peace.
    • Pronunciation: Peace and blessings be upon him.
    • Meaning: May Allah grant him peace and blessings.
  • Or
  • 2. O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad.
    • Pronunciation: O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad.
    • Meaning: O Allah, send mercy and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad.
  • Or
  • . O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Abraham and the family of Abraham. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Abraham and the family of Abraham. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.
  • O Allah! Mention Muhammad with honor in the highest assembly of Your presence, and his family, just as You mentioned Abraham and his family with honor. Indeed, You are the Most Praiseworthy and the Most Glorious. O Allah! Bless Muhammad and his family with blessings as you blessed Abraham and his family. Indeed, you are the Most Praiseworthy and the Most Glorious.
  • O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Abraham and the family of Abraham. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. Allahumma barik ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala Ali Muhammadin, kama barakta ‘ala Ibrahima wa ‘ala Ali Ibrahima. Innaka Hamidun Majid.
Among these prayers, whichever one is easiest for you, try to read it as much as possible before Maghrib on Friday.
2. Recite Surah Kahf.
Reciting Surah Al-Kahf on Friday is highly meritorious (it is the 18th surah of the Qur'an). It contains wonderful stories, especially the story of the young men who sought refuge in a cave to protect their faith, and Allah miraculously aided them.
Tips: You can start reading Surah Kahf on Thursday evening. Instead of reading the entire surah at once, read 20 verses (or about 5–7 minutes) each time, and by Friday's Asr prayer you'll have finished the whole surah. This will be less strenuous and will still fulfill the practice.
3. Make plenty of supplications between Asr and Maghrib.
There is a special moment during this time when prayers are accepted. Even if you're very busy or away from home, still your… “Magic Dua List” At the very least, he will recite a few short prayers.
Dear children, try to attend every prayer in congregation at the mosque. In particular, be sure to pray Thursday's Isha, Friday's Fajr, and the Friday prayer at the mosque. Never abandon this habit.
