Which act, if done daily, leads to Paradise?
Our greatest desire is to enter Paradise, where there is no sorrow, no suffering, only peace, happiness, and the pleasure of Allah. Islam has not only spoken of Paradise but has also clearly shown us the path to it.
From the Holy Qur'an and the Hadith, we learn which small daily deeds lead a person to the path of Paradise.
Muhammad (PBUH) said,
“The most beloved act of worship to Allah is that which is performed regularly, even if it is small.” Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith number 6464
Daily Easy Actions Checklist for Jannah
1. Performing the five daily prayers regularly.
Never miss the five daily prayers. They are the main pillars of Islam. Performing the five daily prayers each day leads to Paradise.
2. Reciting Ayat al-Kursi after every obligatory prayer.
Allah protects the one who recites Ayat al-Kursi.
3. Reciting Sayyidul Istighfar after Fajr and Maghrib
Muhammad (peace be upon him) said
“Whoever recites Sayyidul Istighfar in the morning and evening and then dies that day or night will enter Paradise.” Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith number 6306
- Sayyidul Istighfar (The Best Prayer for Forgiveness)
اَللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّيْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِيْ وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ
وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ
أَبُوْءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوْءُ بِذَنْبِيْ
فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, khalaqtani wa ana ‘abduka,
wa ana ‘ala ‘ahdika wa wa‘dika mastata‘tu. A‘udhu bika min sharri ma sana‘tu,
abu’u laka bini‘matika ‘alayya, wa abu’u bidhanbi.
Faghfir li, fa innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa anta.
Meaning: O Allah! You are my Lord; there is no true deity but You. You created me, and I am Your servant.
And I, to the best of my ability, remain steadfast in your covenant of Tawhid and your promise of Jannah. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my deeds.
I acknowledge the blessings you have bestowed upon me, and I confess my sins.
Therefore, forgive me. Surely, no one but You forgives sins.
Hadith – Whoever recites this (‘Sayyidul Istighfar’) in the morning or evening with understanding and firm belief will surely enter Paradise if he dies that day, whether by night or by day.

4. Read the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah before sleeping.

verse 285
Pronunciation:Aamanar Rasulu bima unzila ilaihi mir Rabbihi wal mu’minun. Kullun aamana billahi wa mala’ikatihi wa kutubihi wa rusulihi, la nufarriqu baina ahadim mir rusulihi. Wa qalu sami‘na wa ata‘na, ghufranaka Rabbana wa ilaikal masir.

Pronunciation: La yukallifullahu nafsan illa wus‘aha. Laha ma kasabat wa ‘alaiha maktasabat. Rabbana la tu’akhidhna in nasina aw akhta’na. Rabbana wa la tahmil ‘alaina isran kama hamaltahu ‘alal-ladhina min qablina. Rabbana wa la tuhammilna ma la taqata lana bih. Wa‘fu ‘anna, waghfir lana, warhamna, anta mawlana fansurna ‘alal qawmil kafirin.
Meaning (Bangla):
- 285: The Messenger and the believers have believed in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. They make no distinction among the messengers and say, “We have heard and obeyed. Our Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and to You we shall return.”
- 286: Allah does not place a burden on anyone beyond their capacity. Each person will bear the consequences of their deeds. Our Lord, forgive our faults and mistakes, do not impose on us a heavy burden as You did on those before us, and grant us the strength to bear it. Forgive us, have mercy on us, and help us against the disbelievers.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever recites these two verses at night, they will suffice for him.’ (Sahih al-Bukhari)
5. Two voluntary rak'ahs of prayer (Tahiyyatul Wudu) after performing wudu.
Muhammad (peace be upon him) said
“Whoever performs ablution (wudu) properly and prays two rak'ahs, Paradise becomes obligatory for him.” Sahih Muslim, Hadith number 234
6. Being forgiving toward people
Forgiving everyone before going to sleep is a great act of virtue.
The Holy Qur’an says,
“Forgive and overlook; Allah loves those who forgive.” Surah An-Nur 24:22
7. Saying “La ilaha illallah” before sleeping
Muhammad (peace be upon him) said
“Whoever's last words are La ilaha illallah will enter Paradise.” Sunan Abu Dawud, hadith number 3116
Important Tips
It's not necessary to start all the deeds at once. Islam says the most beloved deeds are regular, small ones.
Muhammad (peace be upon him) said
“The deeds most beloved to Allah are those that are performed regularly, even if they are few.” Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith number 6465

Small daily deeds lead a person to the path of Paradise. So start gradually, be consistent, and move forward for the sake of Allah's pleasure.
