Allah has sent countless Prophets and Messengers since the beginning of creation. Every Prophet and Messenger delivered the same message to mankind from Allah: to perform the Ibadah of one Allah and to obey His commands. From Adam (A.S.) to the last Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.), the Dawah was the same – Allah is One, He has no partner.
Allah Ta'ala sent many Prophets and Messengers through the ages to guide mankind to the right path. Because the number of people, nations, languages, and times were different, Allah sent a guide to every nation according to their language and condition.
In the Quran, Allah says:
And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner." Surah Fatir 35:24
সূরা ফাতির ৩৫:২৪
Why were so many Prophets sent?
To call people to the Ibadah of one Allah
The core Dawah of all Prophets was only one
there is no true Ilah except Allah, and only His Ibadah must be performed.
Allah says:
"And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], 'Perform Ibadah of Allah and avoid Taghut.'" Surah An-Nahl 16:36
When people forgot the Deen
With time, people used to change the teachings of the Prophets, forget them, or engage in Shirk and sins. Then Allah would send a new Prophet to bring the people back to the true path.
For different nations and regions
For different nations and regions All people were not in the same place or of the same language. Therefore, Allah sent different Prophets for different nations.
As a Rahmah from Allah
As a Rahmah from Allah
Sending Prophets and Messengers was the mercy and kindness of Allah. So that people cannot say on the Day of Qiyamah
No one delivered the message of truth to us
Continuing guidance until the Final Prophet
Finally, Allah sent Muhammad ﷺ with the last and complete Deen, who is the final Prophet for the entirety of mankind. No Prophet will come after him.
Allah says:
Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and the last of the prophets
Surah Al-Ahzab 33:40
