How can we understand that Islam is the only true religion? Let’s carefully go through a few points below.
1. The Same Message of All Prophets
From the first human and prophet, Adam (AS), to the last prophet, Muhammad (SAW), the message sent by Allah to humanity has not changed. The message is: worship Allah alone and follow the prophets sent by Him.
2. The Qur’an: The Only Preserved Holy Book
The Holy Qur’an itself is a miracle and a living proof. Even if all of humanity gathered together, they would not be able to produce a book like it, nor even a single surah or verse like it. Allah, Glorified and Exalted, has placed this challenge within the Qur’an itself.
3. Islam encourages the use of reason, reflection, and knowledge.
Human beings have been created with intellect and reasoning. The Qur’an encourages people to reflect upon creation and the signs of the Qur’an, and to think and observe deeply.
4. Scientific Evidence
Some information mentioned in the Holy Qur’an has been confirmed through modern scientific discoveries—for example, the barrier between two seas that do not mix (Surah Ar-Rahman 19–20), and the expansion of the universe (Surah Adh-Dhariyat 47), etc.
5. The Coming of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was Foretold in Earlier Religious Scriptures
Allah, Glorified and Exalted, sent many prophets and messengers throughout the world for the guidance of humanity. In earlier scriptures, there were many prophecies mentioning a special prophet who would be the final messenger and would come as a mercy for all mankind.
