We all experience doubt about many things in life. But Islam is so clear that it leaves no room for confusion or uncertainty. Its truth is as certain as the way we breathe every moment. Many people wonder: what if they had been born into a different religion—into a non-Muslim family? Would they have followed another faith? Or if they had been born in a non-Muslim country, would their religion have been different?

However, Islam does not reject the questions mentioned above. Rather, it encourages seeking knowledge and using reasoning when trying to understand any belief. Therefore, asking questions is not something negative. In Islam, there are answers to every question. The more you ask, the stronger your foundation in Islam will become, Insha’Allah.

In the Holy Qur’an, Allah tells us:
“Indeed, those who fear Allah among His servants are those who have knowledge.” (Surah Fatir 35:28)

Let us read the following points attentively. Today you are going to learn many new things.

1. The Same Message of All Prophets
From the very first human and Prophet, Adam (alayhis salam), to the final Prophet, Muhammad ﷺ, the message sent by Allah to humanity has never changed. That message is: to worship Allah alone and to follow the Prophets He sent. Every Prophet and Messenger conveyed this same simple message from Allah to mankind: Allah is One, and He has no partners.
2. The Qur’an: The Only Preserved Holy Book
The Holy Qur’an itself is a miracle and a living proof. If all of humanity were to gather together, they would still not be able to produce a book like it, or even a single surah or verse like it. Allah (SWT) has placed this challenge within the Qur’an itself. For more than 1,500 years, no one has been able to meet this challenge. The linguistic excellence and unique style of the Qur’an cannot be replicated by anyone in this world.
The Qur’an was written during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Since that time, millions of people have memorized the Qur’an, whom we call Hafiz. Even if all copies of the Qur’an were destroyed, the Huffaz (memorizers) around the world would be able to recompile the Qur’an within moments. Not only that, but every word, letter, and pause of the Qur’an has remained completely unchanged for over 1,400 years.
Allah (SWT) has promised in the Holy Qur’an:
“Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur’an, and indeed, We will be its guardian.” (Surah Al-Hijr 15:9)
A very old Qur’anic manuscript is preserved in the library of the University of Birmingham in England, which is approximately 1,400 years old. Research has shown that the verses in this manuscript are exactly identical to the Qur’an we have today. Alhamdulillah, this serves as a clear and powerful proof of Allah’s promise regarding the preservation of the Qur’an.

  • Birmingham Qur’an Manuscript
    • Location: University of Birmingham – Cadbury Research Library
    • According to carbon dating, the age is: 568–645 CE, meaning approximately 1,370–1,440 years old.
    • The verses written in this manuscript are exactly identical to the Qur’an we have today, with no changes at all.
3. Islam encourages the use of reason, reflection, and knowledge. How?
Human beings have been created with intellect and reasoning. Without reason, faith becomes weak. Allah (SWT) created humans, and He knows the state of their hearts. He knows that for deep faith, people need evidence and understanding. Prophet Ibrahim (AS) also asked Allah for proof of His existence. Allah (SWT) showed him this through His miraculous power.
The Qur’an encourages people to reflect and observe the creation and the signs of the Qur’an.
In Islam alone, you can find logical answers to any question, each carrying a complete and meaningful explanation. In no other religion will you find this in the same way; you may ask countless questions but still not receive clear answers, only inconsistencies or gaps.
4. Scientific Evidence
Certain pieces of information mentioned in the Holy Qur'an have been proven through recent scientific discoveries. Yet, Allah informed us about them over 1,400 years ago through our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who was unlettered and lived in the midst of the desert.
Example:
  • Two seas meet side-by-side but do not mix:
“He releases the two seas, meeting [side by side]; Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses.” — Surah Ar-Rahman, 55:19-20
  •  Explanation:
Allah allows two seas to flow side-by-side—one is salty water, and the other is comparatively less saline or possesses different characteristics.
You might think that since the two bodies of water are side-by-side, they would mix together.

But Allah has placed an invisible barrier between them, due to which both types of water remain within their own boundaries. They do not fully merge. Scientists call this "surface tension" and the "Halocline".

For example, if you pour two different colored juices into the same glass, but they have different densities, they will not mix easily.
This is a magnificent sign of the divine power (Kudrat) of Allah.

  • Expansion of the Universe:
“And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander.” — Surah Az-Zariyat, 51:47
    • Explanation:
Allah stated that He created the heavens or the universe with His great power, and it is continuously expanding.

Today, scientists have observed through telescopes that,
galaxies, stars, and planets are all moving away from one another. It is just like drawing marks on a balloon and then inflating it;
as the balloon gets larger, the marks move further apart. The universe is expanding in exactly this manner.
Remarkably, science discovered this fact only about 100 years ago, whereas Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala revealed it in the Holy Qur'an over 1,400 years ago!

  • The Function of Mountains:
“And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountain] passes [as] roads that they might be guided.” — Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:31
    • Explanation:
Allah made great mountains upon the earth so that the earth remains stable.
Mountains are not just what is visible on the surface; they extend deep underground like roots. In fact, what lies beneath the ground is several times greater than what is visible above. SubhanAllah!

Scientists now state that,
mountains "peg" the Earth's crust like stakes. Just as a tent cannot stand without pegs, the earth would shake excessively without mountains. They help reduce earthquakes and keep the planet stable.

5. The Coming of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was Foretold in Earlier Religious Scriptures
 Explanation:
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala sent numerous Prophets and Messengers to the world for the guidance of mankind, such as Musa (Moses) (AS), Isa (Jesus) (AS), and Ibrahim (Abraham) (AS). Upon them, Allah revealed scriptures like the Tawrat (Torah), Zabur (Psalms), and Injil (Gospel).
In these books, there were many prophecies (glad tidings) mentioning a special Prophet...
Who would be the final Prophet, would come as a mercy for everyone, and his name would be "Muhammad". The previous scriptures also stated that:
  • He would come from Arabia.
  • He would be Ummi (unlettered—meaning he did not learn to read or write from any human).
  • He would bring a new Scripture.
  • With him would be truth, justice, and light.
In whose scriptures were these prophecies found?
1. The Tawrat (The Book of Musa AS)
2. The Injil (The Book of Isa AS)
For instance, if we tell someone, "Tomorrow a person will arrive, his complexion will be like this, his manner of speaking will be like that..." When that person actually arrives, we instantly recognize, "Yes, this is indeed that person!"
Similarly, when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ arrived, many learned Jewish and Christian scholars recognized that he was the final Prophet foretold in their scriptures.
Allah has informed us of this fact in the Holy Qur'an:
“Those to whom We gave the Scripture know him as they know their own sons. But indeed, a party of them conceal the truth while they know [it].”  — Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:146
The Jews and the Christians refused to recognize the beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ because they were arrogant and jealous. They expected that the final Prophet would arise from their own lineage.
Why Did They Reject the Prophet ﷺ?

One of the biggest reasons was lineage expectation.

1. They believed that the final Prophet would come from their own descendants. The Jews firmly believed that the final Prophet must come from Israelite lineage, and that he would be the leader of their nation.
But Allah’s decree was different. The final Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came from the lineage of Isma'il (Ishmael) (AS)—that is, from Arabia. Alhamdulillah. Because of their envy, arrogance, and tribal pride, they rejected the final Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, leading themselves into misguidance and Jahannam (the fire of Hell).
They alter their own scriptures to conceal the truth.
They erased many parts of those prophecies, concealed major portions, rewrote sections with their own hands, and distorted the meanings of some parts to fit their own interpretations. This truth is explicitly declared in the Holy Qur'an—

“So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their hands and then say, "This is from Allah," to exchange it for a small price.” Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:79

In this way, they wanted to hide the truth because they could not accept that the final Prophet did not come from their lineage.
