1. Prayer for the well-being of this world and the Hereafter
Arabic
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Pronunciation
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah, wa fil-akhirati hasanah, wa qina ‘adhaban-nar.
Meaning
O our Lord! Grant us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of Hell.
2. Prayer for parents
Arabic
رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Pronunciation
Rabbir hamhuma kama rabbayani saghira.
Meaning
O my Lord! Have mercy on my parents, just as they raised me when I was a child.
3. Establishing Prayer and Praying for Children
Arabic
رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ
Pronunciation
Rabbij‘alni muqimas-salati wa min dhurriyyati, Rabbana wa taqabbal du‘a.
Meaning
O my Lord! Include me and my children among those who establish prayer, and accept our supplication.
4. Dua for Asking for Paradise
Arabic
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ
Pronunciation
Allahumma inni as’alukal Jannah.
Meaning
O Allah! I ask You for Paradise.
5. Dua to be saved from the punishment of Hell
Arabic
Allahumma inni a‘udhu bika min ‘adhabi Jahannam.
Pronunciation
Allahumma inni a‘udhu bika min ‘adhabi Jahannam.
Meaning
O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hell.
Special times for prayers to be accepted
In Islam, there are certain times when prayers are more likely to be accepted. If you pray sincerely from the heart during these times, Allah may accept it, insha'Allah.
