Salah (Prayer) is one of the primary acts of worship in Islam and the most crucial means of connection between a servant and Allah. A Muslim performs Salah to fulfill the command of Allah, to attain His pleasure, and to guide their own life onto the right path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
. It is a direct command from Allah. In the Holy Qur'an, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala has commanded mankind to establish Salah (prayer) more than 82 times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Allah says:
\u201cEstablish Salah (prayer).\u201d
\u2014 Surah Ta-Ha 20:14<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Salah (Prayer) is not an optional act; rather, it is an obligatory (Fard) act of worship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Salah protects a person from sins<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Holy Qur\u2019an, Allah tells us:
\u201cIndeed, Salah prohibits immorality and wrongdoing.\u201d
\u2014 Surah Al-Ankabut 29:45<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This means that Salah purifies a person\u2019s character, behavior, and heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Salah is direct communication with Allah<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is stated in the Hadith:
\u201cSalah is the connection between a servant and their Rabb (Lord).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through Salah, the servant stands before Allah, speaks to Him, and supplicates (Dua).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. Salah is the fundamental pillar of Iman (Faith)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prophet Muhammad (\ufdfa) said:
\u201cThe core foundation of Islam is Salah.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Without prayer, the structure of Islam does not remain strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5. The first accountability in the Hereafter (Akhirah) will be regarding Salah<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) said:
\u201cThe first thing the servant will be accountable for on the Day of Judgment is the Salah.\u201d
\u2014 Jami at-Tirmidhi<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This means that Salah is the foundation of success in the Hereafter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Solely for Allah<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Holy Qur\u2019an, Allah tells us:
\u201cAnd they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer\u201d
\u2014 Surah Al-Bayyinah 98:5<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Salah is not for people, society, or worldly gain.
Salah is purely for the pleasure of Allah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. However, all its benefits are for the human being themselves:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Liberation from sins
\u2022 Peace of mind and body
\u2022 Assistance during hardships
\u2022 Blessings (Barakah) in sustenance (Rizq)
