Therefore, it is extremely important to keep some important points in mind before giving the invitation.

1. First, learn Islam for yourself, then invite others.

The most important condition for giving da'wah is to correct one's own Islamic knowledge and practice. If a person who does not himself know the basic principles of Islam gives da'wah, there is a risk of leading people astray.

In the Holy Qur'an, Allah Ta'ala says:

So know that there is no god but Allah.
“Know that there is no deity but Allah.”Surah Muhammad: 19

This verse indicates that knowledge (ilm) is essential even before action.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“Through whom Allah desires the well-being of someone, He grants them profound knowledge of the religion.” Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim

Therefore, before inviting, one must first acquire a basic knowledge of creed (Aqidah), obligatory acts of worship (Fardh), the lawful and the unlawful (Halal-Haram), and the authentic Sunnah (Sahih Sunnah).

2. Refrain from merely talking without practicing it yourself.

When you invite people to something, try to practice it yourself at least. Otherwise, the impact of your invitation is lost.

Allah Ta’ala says—

Do you order people to do good while you neglect yourselves?
“Do you order people to do good deeds while you neglect yourselves?” Surah Al-Baqarah: 44

This does not mean that everyone cannot invite; rather, it means that inviting without striving to reform oneself is not part of the religion's etiquette.

3. Do not invite to something you do not know for certain.

In Islam, speaking based on assumptions or conjecture is forbidden. If there is no clear evidence on a matter, it must not be attributed to Allah or the Messenger.

Allah says:

And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge.
“Do not pursue what you do not know.” Surah Al-Isra: 36

Therefore, the invitation will be based on the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah.

4. Invite gradually

Not everyone's level of faith and understanding is the same. Therefore, the invitation must be given in stages.

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Muʿadh (ra.) to Yemen, he said:

“Invite them first to the oneness of Allah.” Sahih al-Bukhari

This shows that it is important to set priorities in invitations.

5. Invite with humility and sincerity.

The call to Islam must never be made with arrogance, contempt, or harshness. It must be delivered with compassion and sincerity.

In the holy Qur'an, Allah says:

And if you had been harsh and hard-hearted, they would have dispersed from around you.
“If you had been harsh and hard-hearted, they would have been alienated from you.”Surah Al Imran: 159

Advice

Da'wah doesn't just mean inviting others; it means first living in the light of Islam yourself, and then calling others to that light.

Come on, let's-

First, learn the correct Islam for yourself.

I will reform my deeds and character.

Then I call people to Islam with wisdom and kindness.

First, your own family

Then, people from outside the family

May Allah grant us all sound knowledge, sincere deeds, and the ability to make an accepted invitation. Amen.

[141
post-1346","topics","type-topics","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoires-invitation-to-islam
["GET
