In Islam, the word da'wah means to call, to summon<\/em>In Islamic terminology, the call to Islam or the religion means, In the holy Qur'an, Allah the Exalted says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction. In Islam, calling people to the faith is a great trust placed upon the Ummah of Muhammad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the Holy Qur\u2019an, Allah tells us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n You are the best nation ever brought forth for humankind, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil. The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Convey my message, even if it is just one verse. This indicates that inviting is the responsibility of every Muslim, according to their knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Inviting non-Muslims to the fundamental beliefs of Islam\u2014Tawhid (the oneness of God), prophethood, the Hereafter, and the beauty of Islam\u2014is an important part of dawah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa said to Ali (ra.):<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBy Allah! If even one person finds guidance through you, it is better for you than a red camel.\u201d Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The invitation isn't just for non-Muslims. Even those who are Muslim\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n Including inviting them to the right path of Islam with love and wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the Holy Qur\u2019an, Allah tells us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n And remind, for the reminder benefits the believers. Not with harshness, but with gentle speech, patience, and compassion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the Holy Qur'an, Allah sent Moses (peace be upon him) and Aaron (peace be upon him) to Pharaoh and said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n So speak to him kindly. A da'i's character is his greatest invitation. Honesty, patience, and good character attract people to Islam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa said: \u201cI was sent to perfect good character.\u201d Musnad Ahmad<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n One should speak only about what one knows for certain. Inviting others with ignorance is harmful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When the call to the faith is stopped, in society-<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the Holy Qur\u2019an, Allah tells us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cursed are those who disbelieved\u2026 they did not forbid one another from the evil they did. The call to Islam is not the sole responsibility of any speaker or scholar. Every Muslim man and woman can carry out the call from their own position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Remember, it is essential to reform yourself first, then call others to the path of Allah. May Allah accept us as da'is and grant guidance to people through us.
