Here are a few words about this forgotten Sunnah\u2014&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\uded1 This Sunnah is given very little importance\u2026 yet it is not only related to cleaning the teeth or mouth. Often, we fail to understand its deeper significance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\uded1This is connected to faith. It is the Prophet's last visible deed. It paves the way to Paradise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It strengthens faith (Iman) and helps in attaining a good ending (a righteous death), InshaAllah. SubhanAllah\u2014it is truly a blessed Sunnah with great virtues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\uded1 Many people say it is only related to cleaning the mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Some also say that since toothpaste and brushes did not exist at that time, people used miswak instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That kind of dismissive label (\u201ckopalpora\u201d \/ unlucky) isn\u2019t a helpful way to talk about people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pay attention, at that time there were not many different kinds of foods\u2026 most of the time they used to eat dates, and they used to break their fast with dates. Even though now there are so many types of foods available, we still begin our iftar with dates. Even if we have tables and chairs, we sit on the floor to eat in order to follow the Sunnah.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udf3a If we want to walk in the footsteps of the Prophet, if we want to receive the Prophet\u2019s intercession, if we want to enter Jannah, if we want to keep our faith strong and firm, and if we hope for a faithful death, then we must do what our Prophet did.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa said: If it were not too burdensome for my nation, I would have ordered them to use the siwak before every prayer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meaning: \u201cIf it were not difficult for my nation, I would have ordered them to use the miswak at every prayer.\u201d \ud83d\udcda (Sahih al-Bukhari: 887, Sahih Muslim: 252)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. The virtue of prayer is increased through the use of miswak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcd6 Messenger of Allah \ufdfa said: \u201cMiswak is a cleanser for the mouth and a source of pleasure for the Lord.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd39 Meaning: \u201cMiswak purifies the mouth and is a cause for Allah's pleasure.\u201d \ud83d\udcda (Sahih Bukhari, Nasai: 5, Musnad Ahmad: 3948)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is possible to gain the pleasure of Allah with such a small effort!
